Terrorism and Violent Extremism

Whether you are a campus public safety or law enforcement official, National Preparedness Month is an appropriate time to consider promoting awareness and prevention of extremist or terroristic violence. Provided on our website are pertinent resources, tips and general information regarding extremism and terrorism such as The U.S. Department of Homeland Security's 'Primer to Design Safe School Projects in Case of Terrorist Attacks and School Shootings', which includes a building vulnerability assessment checklist.

Trauma-Informed Sexual Assault Investigation and Adjudication Training Course Update

The National Center continues to work on the development of this curriculum for those campus officials involved in investigation and adjudication processes.  Subject matter experts joined us at our Burlington, VT offices to draft the curriculum and we expect to conduct our first pilot session of the course in early November.  Additional courses will be offered in early 2015 and further updates will be provided on the nccpsafety.org website as available.
