$2500 Triangle Farms Derbies ~ Specs ~ Sept Show
Open to non-professional riders on horses or ponies showing at the Sept show. In consideration of rider fairness, two Derbies to be held, each Derby to award $1250 prize money & $100 to the Derby winner's trainer. Derby winner to receive winner ribbon, prize money & awards. The top 12 riders to receive ribbons, prize money & awards.
The first round of the Derby to be the score from the second hunter round on Sat of the respective division, the numerical score to be the first round score for the Derby. Must be entered in the Derby to be eligible for the second round. The top 12 riders to be called back to complete the second round on Sun morning, jumping the same fence height as the first round. The second Derby round to be a handy course, using both outdoor rings, to include a bending line, one line with an unrelated distance and at least one fence with a long approach, high options at the discretion of the Course Designer. Obstacle to simulate those reminiscent of the hunter field. Proper attire required.
Schooling on the flat in the Derby ring to be available Sun, 6am-7am. Course walk for each Derby to be 30 min prior to the start of the Derby, rider may walk horse or pony in Derby ring. "A Little Bubbly" Derby Hospitality & Goodies to be available during the Derby Finals.
The regular schedule of Sun classes in Ring I & Ring II to follow the Derbies. Due to time Open Hunter in Ring I & Schooling Hunter in Ring II will not to be held on Sun.
