Conference Program and Speakers Announced!

It gives us great pleasure to announce EQ's 2016 Housing Innovation Forum conference program. It has been truly exciting to plan this year's Housing Innovation Forum, taking place on February 25th at the Sheraton Parkway Toronto North Hotel & Suites. We've collaborated with key green home builders, building scientists, industry consultants, renovators, and agency partners across Canada. The result is an exciting and educational roster of panelists and subjects that will inform and inspire you to adjust to changing business realities, and to create value for your business.

Responding to calls for renewed emphasis on climate change mitigation, our green home builders are demonstrating leadership and commitment to a more sustainable and energy efficient houses that home buyers can count on and expect. NEXT GEN/NEXT 10 - the conference theme - previews the next generation of Canada's most popular third party certification programs while looking ahead at innovation in green housing market unfolding over the next decade. 2017 marks a major change in the new Ontario Building Code coinciding with major updates also taking place with the ENERGY STAR for New Homes, EnerGuide Rating System voluntary building standards.  These are systems our country's highest performance builders use to guide their businesses. Frank Ferragine to Host EQ Awards

Frank Ferragine AKA "Frankie Flowers" is arguably Canada's most popular and trusted gardening authority and morning weatherman on City's morning show  Breakfast Television  in Toronto. He is known for a combination of practical advice with the spice of humour and a huge injection of passion for plants and everything gardening. Frankie's advice has twice earned him Landscape Ontario's Garden Communicator of the Year, he has been named Toronto's Favourite Weather Personality 8 years running (Toronto Sun Readers Award) and in 2010 his Disney inspired Tinker Bell Garden won 3 awards including public choice and best overall garden.

Frankie is a three-time best selling author, consultant, garden writer, social media strategist, and philanthropist. Frankie believes that life should be fun and lives everyday by the mantra "work hard, play harder".

Our programs are voluntary and market-based, designed to support builders and renovators with education and tools to achieve high performance building standards. Notable programs include ENERGY STAR® for New Homes, GreenHouse Certified Construction ™,  The Green Renovator Project  and LEVEL . EnerQuality was founded in 1998 as a partnership between the Ontario Home Builders' Association and the Canadian Energy Efficiency Alliance.
