Teens are the ones telling us why libraries are still relevant.
- Luis Herrera, San Francisco Librarian

Did you see last week's SF Chronicle article about the opening of the Mix, the new Teen Space at the San Francisco Library? With your help Berkeley's Central Library can open it's own new state-of-the-art-teen center as well as offer other exciting improvements to our historic downtown library building.

I hope you received the letter from the wonderful Mollie Katzen, author of 14 revolutionary cookbooks and a staunch friend of the Berkeley Public Library Foundation. I join Mollie in asking you to continue your support this year. As the Berkeley Public Library undertakes impressive new improvements at the Central Library, your tax-deductible gift will make a difference for everyone who walks through the library's doors.

Thank you for sustaining the exciting momentum at our libraries, and for doing all you can to make our great library extraordinary.
