A four-mile pilgrimage walk through the pristine urban wilderness of Forest Park
7-11am | June 27 | Audubon House
Together we will engage in contemplative prayer practices to cultivate our relationship with God, earth, and each other.
Arrive at the Audubon House and be ready by 7am when we gather for morning prayer and introductions. We will walk (in silence for a period of time) to the Redwood Deck at Hoyt Arboretum where we will stop for rest and midmorning prayer. Our walk will conclude with a discussion based on a reading from John Philip Newell's The Rebirthing of God (see attachment) at the Audubon House Pavilion. Please pack a snack, brunch, or thermos full of coffee!
Those unable or uninterested in the walk are welcome to drive and join at any point along the way (silent meditation available at 9:30am at the Audubon House Pavilion).
