Yikes!

We sent out an email a week ago about why we love graduation season. The short version was this: it's a chance to tell all your favorite bright & shiny people how much you love them & how much you're cheering them on as they dive into this grand adventure called Life.

Well, you'd be amazed how many of you wrote back & said That's all well & good, but we've got to go to a zillion graduations, so we're swamped. Could you just give us a few suggestions?

HA. Of course, we can do that. (It helps that we've got all of you telling us which stories were the perfect thing to give. So, really, all we're doing is passing on the collective wisdom of everyone who loves StoryPeople so well...)
Here are the top suggestions we've gathered from all of you:

Something Like Magic. Yep. Brian's new book is a perfect reminder & guide to a new grad that there's magic in beginnings. Find the love in what you do & it will be an unerring guide your whole life.(The other really good book you recommend again & again is Some Kind of Ride. HA. The title actually says it all...)

Then there's always one of the new wrist wraps or the new fun fobs. There's a great selection of fabulous stories to remind your grads how much you love & cherish them, even when they forget that themselves. Some of the new stories we'd recommend are Help Wanted, Life Wants & Secret #8. & of course, there're always the classics like Imagining World & Quiet Pride.

If you absolutely must have a story for your special grad that nobody else has yet, you might want to consider this. Just a few days ago, Brian put up a new story on Instagram that bunches of you immediately asked for as a graduation story. It's called Ready to Hear & here's how it goes:
Walking away from all the things I know because something in me whispers it's time to not know again & this time I think I might be ready to hear the secrets the world has kept safe for me my whole life.
(Since it's so new, it's only available as a wrist wrap or a sculpture, but you can get it on a print if you do it as a create your own.)

Finally, there's always the question of what you give to grads who you know, but who you don't REALLY know. Don't worry. We've got you covered with a pack of six greeting cards that are perfect for grads: two Imagining World, two Illusion of Control & two Some Kind of Ride.

OK, there you have it. Actual suggestions to get you started. Yay! So, drop in to StoryPeople.com when you get a chance & stock up for all those grad parties on your dance card.

See you soon...

with love,

The Crew at StoryPeople

P.S. The one thing we didn't mention are the double frames with some of the most fabulous stories for grads that we have. In case you don't remember, the double frames have the story on one side & an opening for a photograph on the other. They snap together in about 60 seconds, so it's not a lot of effort to create something beautiful to honor your grad. In the smaller double frame size of 4x6, we suggest One of Us & Side by Side.

Or Say Yes, Remember, Beautiful Things & Life Wants in an 8x10. Just add your favorite photograph to Brian's timeless words of love & connection & you've got an instant forever gift for your bright & shiny grad. Something they'll cherish & remember their whole lives...

P.P.S. Yes, we've got lots more than these suggestions, but this'll save you buckets o' time, if you are running wildly from party to party like a slightly manic fairy godmother...
