  • Enjoying another great Bluegrass Mass with the Lonesome Pines Bluegrass Band at the 10:30 service

Resurrection Church To Resurrect Campus Grounds
Mark Your Calendars for August 29, 2015

Back in March, the Bishop's Committee had a retreat, and one exercise was to walk the campus grounds and return with our views of what we saw. One of the major items we noted was the view from Justin Lane looking toward the back north portion of the property line, from the Youth Building to the residence house and Parish Hall parking. That area presented unsightly tree growth and ground cover. Plus, it was covering up a storage building that needs repair and painting. The Progress School will be starting soon, and may be involved in the area, too.

We need your horsepower along with tools: rakes, picks, hoes, pruning tools, chain saws, axes   and steel bars to help break up some concrete and bring any other tools that may help to clear the area. We will start at 8:30 a.m. and stop at noon. Refreshments and food will be provided.

What a way to show our workmanship and join in fellowship for a few hours and then look back at what was done. In order to get a head count for food, please contact Michael Paulsen at  church Sunday, or phone: 512-255-5741 or e-mail: [email protected]
School Supplies Drive
The Episcopal Church Women of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection invite you to join us in a School Supplies Drive beginning July 27, 2015 and ending August 23, 2015. We are asking for your help.

Many school age children will not have basic school supplies due to today's economic conditions. We are conducting a School Supplies Drive and are asking for your cash (or check) donation. Your donation will help to buy school supplies in bulk. Please note on your check, "School Supplies Drive." If you wish to make a cash donation, please place it in an envelope addressed to "School Supplies Drive." Checks and envelopes may be placed in the offertory during each church service

If you wish to donate school supplies, there is a box in the Narthex by the welcome table.

We appreciate your generosity with this endeavor.
News from the Atrium

Attention Families

Water and music and blessings coming this Sunday, Aug. 23!  We will have a Bluegrass band playing during the Eucharist service, with a Blessing of the Backpacks (for students and teachers alike).  Do have your child bring a school bag to bring to the steps for a blessing during the service.

We will just have one Atrium session this Sunday, from 9:15-10:15am, all ages invited.

Come with swimsuits under your church clothes because ... there will be a big bouncy water slide outside after the service, and free burgers for lunch.

What a great kick-off for back to school.

Peace,
Kelly
