---------------------------------------- Greetings,
We have used various phrases from participants to describe our unique event:
"Like CliffNotes on Steroids,"
said one.
"Like Power-reading a Business Book"
said another.
And now, we have a new phrase.
Cheryl Hall recently wrote a terrific article about our event in the Dallas Morning News. Her phrase: "Call them ghost readers for the business set."
What
a great phrase. (Please read, and share, her article: Dallas consultants are ghost readers for the business set).
Since April, 1998, Karl Krayer and I have each read a business book, prepared a thoughtful synopsis, and shared our findings and insights with the participants who attend the First Friday Book Synopsis. Our next session is July 10 (the 2nd Friday of July). Please join us! The most successful people in business keep up with the latest good business books. They read them; they learn from them; they implement what they learn. Well, we can't quite read them for you. But we can provide you with the most important content -- the lessons, the takeaways -- from these books. For our July 10 First Friday Book Synopsis. we have selected two valuable and useful books.
The first selection is
Move: Putting America's Infrastructure Back in the Lead
by Rosabeth Moss Kanter.
Karl Krayer
will present this synopsis.
Our second selection is
Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future
by Ashlee Vance. This book is #1
on the June New York Times Business Best Sellers List.
Randy Mayeux will present this synopsis.
Come join us on July 10. Invite a friend or two. I think you will find this to be worth your time.
Expectantly, Randy Mayeux
