ASELSI MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL - REPORT FOR 2014

Here is what ASELSI has done in 2014 by the grace of God and His leading. Behind all the statistics and numbers are real people whose lives have been made better, and even saved through the ministry.  You can rejoice with us because with your prayers and giving you have been a part of all His Works in ministering to the Hispanic and indigenous cultures we serve.

1)      Staff and missionaries:

  • We currently have sixteen missionaries serving at ASELSI.
  • We employee 24 full time and 13 part time Guatemalans.

We are blessed to have some of the most talented and dedicated missionaries ministering at ASELSI. Our Guatemalan staff is working alongside our missionaries and in areas of leadership. Our task is to train the local saints to do the work of the ministry. It is happening!

2)      Bible Extension and College students (2014-15):

  • ASELSI International graduated 145 students from our different Bible Programs
  • We have 10 students currently in Bachelor Program in Biblical Leadership
  • We have 52 students studying at the High School level and Associate Degree level
  • We have approximately 200 students in the 13 Guatemalan extensions, and about 100 in the USA, Mexico and Ecuador.

There is an ever growing need to prepare Pastors that do not qualify or are unable to attend Theological Seminaries. Our students, when graduated, are seeing explosive growth through their leadership, and an ability to plant churches and small groups as well as evangelize throughout their area. All our teachers are graduates of our program.

3)      Physical Therapy Program:

  • 115 treatments each month.
  • 65 children receiving treatment.
  • 21 adults in the program

We have been training our own local workers to meet basic physical therapy needs under the supervision of a licensed physical therapists for nearly 10 years. They are doing an outstanding job in helping adults and children with disabilities learn to sit, walk, and perform other skills.  In 2014 we had our first full time intern from a Guatemalan University.  She spent the year conducting her research and volunteering. She is a believer, speaks English and Spanish and is joining us in 2015 as part of the staff.

4)      ASELSI Social Services Program:

  • Helped with 14 Surgeries
  • Provided help for exams in other hospitals
  • Evangelized patients

5)      The Father's Heart Clinic:

  • 350 eye exams
  • 120 chronic patients each month
  • 123 children in the Milk Program
  • 13,016 patient visits over the year in 2014

It has been an honor to minister to the physical and spiritual needs of Guatemala. Our reputation of excellence and the confidence the patients have in us enables us to influence a whole culture.

6)      Short Term Missions Teams:

  • 24 teams with over 400 people have helped us accomplish our goals.
  • The teams consist of medical, evangelism, teaching, construction, discipleship, as well as community aid.

One of the goals we have is to enlarge the vision for missions in the churches as well as its members. We have seen God becoming more real to both the members of the teams as well as those whose lives they have touched here in Guatemala.

7)      Little Lambs School:

  • 24 children

We have seen great progress in the children attending the Little Lambs School. There is nowhere for the Special Needs children to go to receive an education and development. This program not only touches the children directly but, their families as well. We find many receiving Christ through our Little Lambs School.

Join us in giving God all the glory and honor and thank you for being a part of helping us to reach out as He directs!
