Presbytery Debuts New Website

The Presbytery of Baltimore is pleased to announce the debut of its new website. Viewers will find the website's classic, streamlined design easier to navigate and far more intuitive to the needs of Presbytery clergy and members -- as well as, others  who are cruising the internet in search of a spiritual connection.

While work continues on a number of sub-pages, viewers can already access important information such as the upcoming Leadership Conference entitled Race, Class & Poverty, which will be held during the next gathering on Saturday, Nov. 14 at First Presbyterian Church of Howard County in Columbia.  Members can also view the proposed 2016 Budget and post comments in an online discussion module. And, the new 2015-2016 Directory of Congregations can now be found in a password secured section of the website.  The password will be transmitted separately to members and changed periodically to protect the sensitive information stored in this section.

The Presbytery's website is designed as a repository of information as well as a virtual welcome mat to the various ministries our member churches are engaged in.  As a repository, members can easily search the website's gray sidebar to quickly access information about Ministry Groups and financial matters; clergy and church leaders can tap into pertinent information about ministry relations; and, trustees and clerks will find a variety of tools to help them in their church work. Within the next few weeks, commission leaders, committee chairs and Ministry Group conveners will be invited to view their section of the website and submit comments or additional information to populate their particular webpage.  Please submit all comments and material to Deborah Greene, Director of Communications.

In addition to serving as a repository for information for members, the Presbytery's website also seeks to   enlighten others through pictures, stories, video and features about our congregations.  The Presbytery looks forward to posting articles and pictures of our member churches' events and ministries on the new website to assure viewers that the Presbyterian Church continues to thrive spiritually and serve as an apostle of reconciliation here and around the world.

Join the Savvy Seniors from 6:30pm to 8:30pm on Tuesday, Oct. 20 at Woods Memorial Presbyterian Church for a discussion on age-related driving risks and tools and resources to manage those risks.
