2016 Intercollegiate Lenten Retreat

 For Undergrad and Graduate Students.

All Faith Backgrounds Welcome.

(click for full flyer)

Take a break from your work and your studies—join other students for a day of prayer, conversation, and creative reflection. This retreat will feature stories from Rev. Ed Cardoza—spiritual director at Still Harbor, a Boston community of spiritual seekers, healers, and companions—who will help us reconnect with the spirituality of our daily lives and center us for service in the world.

Bring whatever items help you step back and reflect (ie. notebooks, art supplies). An assortment will also be provided.

The event will run from 10:00AM to 4:00PM.  Lunch is provided. Please note any dietary needs on your registration.

This event has been organized by local students who identified the need for this intercommunity retreat, the Episcopal chaplaincies of Greater Boston, and the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts.

Additionally, the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts is in the process of creating a new mission strategy. We have been holding open listening sessions around the diocese, gathering ideas through online and phone-in surveys, and hosting smaller meetings to hear from particular groups within the church.

The diocese would like to hear your perspective as young adults on how the church can grow and change to better meet the needs of the world. You are invited to take part in a conversation from 4:30 to 6:00 pm at Emmanuel Church, Boston (following the Lenten Retreat). A light supper will be served. For more information or to let us know you're coming, please contact Thea Keith-Lucas at revthea@gmail.com.
