Obamacare Foes Head to Supreme Court...Again

Mark Sherman, writing for the the AP via the Huffington Post on 10.25.15, states:

Opponents of President Barack Obama's health care overhaul are taking yet another challenge to the law to the Supreme Court, and say they will be back with more if this one fails.
 
A new appeal being filed Monday by the Pacific Legal Foundation contends that the law violates the provision of the Constitution that requires tax-raising bills to originate in the House of Representatives.

Pacific Legal Foundation lawyer Timothy Sandefur said the problem with the law is just one example of how "Obamacare is so unconstitutional in so many ways."

Sandefur said the justices will face one challenge to the law after another until it is significantly changed or repealed.
Miami-Dade Hospitals Seek to Create Transplant Programs

Baptist Hospital of Miami and Nicklaus Children's Hospital both applied to create transplant programs, which would make them among the handful of hospitals in South Florida allowed to do these crucial and costly procedures.

According to the author:

Currently, the only hospitals in Miami-Dade County approved for adult transplants are Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospital and Clinics. Nicklaus Children's Hospital can do pediatric bone marrow transplants, and its application would allow three more types of transplants.
 
The nonprofit Baptist Hospital wants the state to approve a transplant program for bone marrow, both autologous (self-donations) and allogeneic (third-party donations). It would be part of the $430 million Miami Cancer Institute on its Kendall campus.
Outpatient care has higher commercial costs when hospitals employ physicians

Laura Dyrda, reporting for Becker's ASC Review on 10.20.15, states:

Hospital-employed physicians have higher commercial healthcare prices than non-employed physicians, according to an article published in the October issue of JAMA Internal Medicine.

R esearchers concluded that "Financial integration between physicians and hospitals has been associated with higher commercial prices and spending for outpatient care."
