In 1923 seven U.S. Navy Destroyers shipwrecked at Honda Point, just northwest of Point Conception. To this day, the Honda Disaster is considered the largest naval disaster in United States history during peacetime. Lecture is in conjunction with the Santa Barbara Maritime Museum's
Tragedy at Honda exhibit.
