Grrrrr-8-FUL !
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. ~1Thessalonians 5.16-18
Greetings Brothers and Sisters in Christ!
According to a prominent Duke University Medical Center researcher, "If thankfulness were a drug, it would be the world's best-selling product with [health benefits] for every major organ system."
For some, being thankful means simply living with a sense of gratitude-taking time to recognize and focus on the things we have, instead of the things we wish we had. The Bible takes the idea of thankfulness to a deeper level. The act of giving thanks causes us to recognize the One who provides our blessings.
Cultivating a spirit of thankfulness honors God and strengthens our faith. It also strengthens our relationships with other people. We can't be in a right relationship with God or with anyone without a spirit of thankfulness.
Thank you- for the SURPRISE on Sunday. I read your THANK notes as I traveled to Arizona- but more than the words on these pieces of yellow paper, remembering the powerful act of watching you all travel to the Treasure Chest to leave your notes and treats, your smiles and winks and nods filled me with a deep sense of gratitude. Yes, I am thankful... Thanks be to God!
With deep gratitude!
~
Pastor Linda

Property Action Team
As we enter the 13th year of being in our church building, we need to be mindful of our role of being good stewards of what is given to us.
Just as with your own home, over time equipment breaks down and needs repair, systems fail and need to be replaced.
Do you have skills in plumbing or electrical?
Do you know how to read blueprints or pound a nail?
Do you have experience scheduling jobs or projects?
Do you enjoy getting your hands dirty?
We are looking for people possessing such skills and are willing to be part of this Action Team to help Hosanna keep our facility and grounds looking good and in good operating condition. This is not a committee requiring attendance at meetings but rather a team of individuals with expertise or experience in particular fields who are willing to advise or otherwise help in resolving an issue relating to their area of expertise when then need arises.
Please consider being a part of this Action team. Sign up on a Yellow Page and drop in the offering basket or look for the sign-up table in the lobby (lower level) after worship on Sunday.
