The Orange Catholic Foundation provided insight for the production of the following video, "Christ Cathedral: A Transformation," that beautifully explains and illustrates the transformation process of Crystal Cathedral to Christ Cathedral.

On the evening of September 24, 2014, Christ Cathedral Guild donors gathered for Evening Prayer in the Freed Theater followed by dinner and a special presentation inside the cathedral. In what was billed, "An Evening with the Architects," Scott Johnson of Johnson Fain, and Mark Rios of Rios Clementi Hale shared inspired stories with the discussion moderator, Rob Neal, of the Christ Catholic Cathedral Corporation Architectural Committee. This video is filled with intriguing and uplifting insights on the creative genius that went into the design of our future cathedral and campus.

Thanks to the more than 24,000 donors to our For Christ Forever Capital Campaign, the Orange Catholic Foundation has been able to provide much needed support to each of the campaign's case elements. Through June 30, 2014, more than $33 million has been paid toward For Christ Forever pledge payments and granted to those campaign case elements as follows:

From the funds granted to the Christ Cathedral campus, much has been done to make this a beautiful and functional place for Catholic worship.

The video below illustrates and explains the work done to make the Arboretum an award winning renovation project and the temporary place of worship for the parishioners of Christ Cathedral Parish. The Eucharist is celebrated in English, Spanish, Vietnamese and Chinese for more than 10,000 parishioners each weekend in the Arboretum.

The Orange County Catholic online will feature a series of videos in the coming weeks focused on the renovation of our campus and its buildings.

On September 25, the 9th Annual Orange County Catholic Prayer Breakfast brought more than 1,000 people together to pray the rosary and celebrate the Eucharist in the Arboretum and then hear Dr. Tim Gray, president of the Augustine Institute, present a powerful keynote presentation on Catholic Evangelization inside the soon to be renovated cathedral.

So much progress has been made on our campus, that someone appropriately commented..."if you haven't seen Christ Cathedral campus lately, you haven't seen Christ Cathedral campus." The newly renovated Arboretum has won national, regional and local awards for the restoration work performed. Renovation of the Tower of Hope is near completion and its new tenants will include an EWTN television studio, Immaculate Heart Radio, Magis Institute, the Augustine Institute, Dynamic Catholic and the Pontifical Mission Society.

The campus is welcoming in its natural beauty and as a place where all people can come to be renewed in spirit and truly know that they are loved by God.

Come visit our Cathedral Campus and see the new exhibit, "Becoming Christ Cathedral: Faith and Transformation" on the 2nd floor of the Cathedral Cultural Center.

Exhibit and Docent led tours hours are: Monday through Friday, 10:00 am-3:00 pm, and Saturday, 9:00 am-4:00 pm.
