Let there be peace on earth!

"Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you..."    ~John 14.27

Greetings Friends!

"Let there be PEACE on earth and let it begin with me; let there be PEACE on earth, the PEACE that was meant to be!"

Did you know that this song was first introduced at a California retreat in 1955 to a group of young people who were from a wide variety of religious, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds? The young people had come together for a week-long experience devoted to developing friendship and understanding. The song's focus on peace and God made it easy to cross many boundaries. These inspired young people brought the song with them into their communities and started sharing it at home, with their schools and with their churches.

What does PEACE look like to you? Is it more than the absence of war? On Sunday we will explore God's PEACE as considered in Ephesians 2.11-22. The song continues:

"With God our creator, family all are we. Let us walk with each other in perfect harmony."

Peace Out!  See you in Church!

It's that time of year again to check your calendar and sign up to help clean the Coliseum at the 2015 Minnesota State Fair. This project is Hosanna's largest annual fundraiser to support its ministries and programs. Every volunteer gets a free admission ticket to the fair for the day they sign up to help clean. (Enjoy the fair for a few hours; then just return to the Coliseum
by 9pm to start cleaning.)
We need teams of volunteers for every night of the Fair. This is a great service opportunity to get both kids & adults involved. Consider making this a family event.
Sign Ups are available after worship on Sunday mornings or you can contact the church office at 651-464-5502 or the project coordinators below:

Senior Adult Ministry (SAM)

Hosanna's Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) is a monthly gathering of mature folks who enjoy socializing with fun, interesting people and sharing a meal together.  We typically meet on the first Thursday of the month (unless it falls on a holiday, then we meet a week later) for lunch.  We alternate the location - one month at an area restaurant and the following month at church.  Our primary goal is to enjoy each other's company, laugh and establish enduring friendships
