Amid West Coast Port Congestion, Anchorage Airport Sees Air Cargo Gains
In 2014,
Anchorage International Airport (ANC) saw a 7.7 percent increase in in transiting cargo compared to 2013. As the U.S. West Coast ports suffered under severe congestion shippers, freight forwarders and beneficial cargo owners (BCOs) were pressured to find alternative shipping options, including air cargo.

Recently, Stantec has expanded its presence with the acquisition of USKH, Inc., Aecom strengthened its position by acquiring former rival URS and Hillcorp Alaska has purchased BP's stake in four oil fields.
