Ben's Buzz:

August 27, 2015

We are very much looking forward to the first day of school for our students in Grades 1-8 on Monday, August 31st. Kindergarten families, we will see you for your Open House on Tuesday, September 1st!

I hope that you will all join me in extending a warm welcome to all of our new BCCPS students, families and staff members.  We're very excited to have you here, and looking forward to getting to know you all.

To that end, the PCO has organized the annual Back to School Picnic to be held on Monday, August 31st from 5-7. The event will feature a visit from the Kona Ice Truck.  You'll be able to pick up your bus passes and take a look at the new BFCCPS Spirit Wear.  Pack your picnic dinner, we hope to see you there.

Several issues of Ben's Buzz have been published over the last few weeks of summer with lots of information on arrival and dismissal, morning care, the opening week schedule and much, much more. You can find background issues here for easy reference.

Sincerely,

Heather Zolnowski
Head of School
School Forms Available:

It is imperative that all parents submit the Arrival/Departure Form once for each of their children before the start of school on August 31st. This is a critical piece of information needed to ensure the safe dismissal of all children.  If you haven't done so already, please take a moment to do so now.

You will find several other online forms also posted to the BFCCPS website including signup for Morning Care, Homework Club and many others.

Spaces Available in Grade 7 and 8:

A limited number of spaces are available for new students to join our Grade 7 and 8 classes starting on September 8th.  Applications are now live and will be accepted through Thursday, September 3rd at 8am EST.  The Fall Enrollment Lottery for Grades 7 & 8 will be held on September 3rd, 2015 at 1pm.
