A brand-new liveaboard diving vessel joins our fleet - we've just launched our brand-new website - and we've got a few great deals for your fall departures!

Explorer Ventures, in cooperation with its partner, Carpe Diem Maldives, is pleased to announce that in March 2016, the M/V Carpe Novo Explorer will begin operations in the Maldives as the newest addition to the Explorer Ventures Liveaboard Fleet. This new modern vessel, built by Amir Mansoor & Agnes van Linden, builders and operator of Carpe Novo Explorer's sister ships, Carpe Vita Explorer and Carpe Diem, will offer longer trips to more remote areas of the Maldives, expanding Explorer Ventures offerings in this great dive destination. Specialty itineraries like the Deep South Shark, Far North Exploration, Whale Shark by Night, Manta Ray Identification and Central/Southern Atoll itineraries will be offered throughout the year. The Carpe Novo Explorer offers 7, 10 & 11 night specialty itineraries which change depending on the season. Each offers a unique dive itinerary based on the seasons, current and pelagic migration patterns.
The Carpe Novo Explorer is a 22-passenger, 140-foot wooden-hull safari yacht, with 12 cabins decorated in a modern motif, all with ensuite bathrooms and individually controlled air conditioning. There are four junior suites located on the upper deck, two single staterooms located on the main deck and 6 lower deck staterooms. There is ample space for relaxation on the sun deck or the shaded lounge area with wireless internet connection throughout the vessel. Carpe Novo Explorer provides guests with an exceptional yachting experience, hotel-style staterooms and unmatched open-air comfort!
Staffed by a crew of 13, the Carpe Novo Explorer is ideally sized and equipped for divers. Three dives are conducted daily from a 60-foot dhoni, fully equipped with a bathroom, hot-water showers and air and nitrox compressors. The vessel is well-stocked with quality diving gear for those who choose not to bring all or some of their own. The crew, one of the most experienced and qualified in the Maldives, is ready to take you on an adventure to one of the most amazing diving destinations in the world, whether you are a first-time or repeat visitor!
