Inspiration

Instead of condemning others, strive to reach inner peace. Keep silent, refrain from judgment. This will raise you above the deadly arrows of slander, insult and outrage and will shield your glowing hearts against all evil.

-St. Seraphim of Sarov

The Deep End devotion:As a child, the highlight of summer was going to a swimming pool and daring myself into "the deep end." I would inch my toes up until I felt the ground slope away beneath them, take a breath, and push off into open water. There, in the terrible excitement of the deep end, I could no longer depend on the security of solid ground. It was swim or sink. Read more...

Join us this Sunday for worship that is relevant and refreshing! Traditional Worship at 9:30am; Informal Worship at 11:00am.Our scriptures will be 2Samuel 11:26-12:10, 13a and Psalm 51:1-12 with a sermon entitled My Story. In 2Samuel we meet King David and Bathsheba. Their relationship is complicated. Nathan, one of David's wise men, points out David's mistakes in a story that David does not recognize right away. How do we see ourselves in story and learn to live more faithfully?

Celebrate the sacrament of communion at our open table. ALL are invited!

Give-A-Meal Sunday: Please bring gifts of non-perishable food items for our hungry neighbors in St Louis. Thank you.

St. Louis Association Missouri Mid-South Conference: A Weekend of Vision and Reflection

On the year anniversary of the death of Michael Brown, you are invited to a day of reflection with UCC General Minister and President-Elect, Rev. Dr.John Dorhauer.

At the 2015 General Synod, Dr. Dorhauer called on the UCC "to be adaptive and transformative...It's in our genetic material to build relationships across the divide. We are the people of the still-speaking God...We can make the Gospel relevant again and let go of those things that impede our faithful proclamation of that Gospel. Our possessive attachment to whiteness is the biggest impediment to our achieving the vision of Shalom, to our becoming the people of God that we are called to become."

Joke

Two antennas met on a roof, fell in love and got married. The Ceremony wasn't much, but the reception was excellent.
