Teaching Artist of the Month
Hattie Weselyk
Please join us in celebrating our Teaching Artist of the Month - Hattie Weselyk! Hattie has been teaching dancers of all ages at Darlington since 2000 at our previous location and instructs jewelry-making workshops as well. She has studied at  The School of American Ballet, at the Juilliard School of Performing Arts and was formerly the principal dancer with The Brandywine Ballet Company. In addition to her skills as a dancer, she also designs a line of handcrafted silver jewelry that has been sold at Longwood Gardens, Urban Outfitters, and many boutiques throughout the area, and designs bracelets for the Philadelphia Union that supports their children's foundation. Hattie's creativity, discipline, and passion for the arts is reflected on to each and every one of her students.
Board Member of the Month
Nancy Daly
"Darlington is very near and dear to my heart which is why I became a Board member.  As a parent, I wanted to introduce my daughter to the performing arts. I enrolled her at DAC in ballet at 4 years old.  Eventually she took violin lessons, art, drama and karate.  DAC provided the best possible education and foundation. I never dreamed she would continue all of the arts, and now at 18 years old, she continues to play violin in the orchestra, has danced with the Joffrey Ballet Company in Russia and was Darlington's first Black Belt in Isshinryu Karate."

She has served as Secretary on Darlington's Board of Directors and on the Finance, Development, and Governance committees since 2009. Nancy is a Tax Accountant at Wawa, Inc. and brings her financial expertise and perspective as a parent to our Board. We are so grateful for her guidance and continued support of our mission.

Are you a business leader, community advocate, or parent who is interested in serving the community through Darlington? Please submit an application to join our Board of Directors.
