Opening Week Schedule at BFCCPS

Summer Updates from BFCCPS
Today's installment of the Ben's Buzz Summer Update is dedicated to the opening schedule here at BFCCPS. We hope that you're enjoying your summer vacation and we look forward to seeing you in a few weeks.

Since the 2015-2016 School Year begins this year on a Monday, the opening week schedule is a little different than it has been in years past.  You'll find all the details just below.

Family Contact Information:

Please help ensure that we have all the necessary contact information for your students with respect to emergency contact information, your phone number for the Family Directory and more.  This hot pink form was included in the summer mailing and must be completed in advance of the first day of school on Monday, August 31st.

Back to School Picnic:

BFCCPS Families and Staff,

Please join the PCO for the annual Back to School Picnic which will be held on Monday, August 31st from 5 - 7pm.

Pack a picnic dinner and catch up with your friends at BFCCPS. Share the news of your day with your friends in other classrooms.

This is also a great opportunity to help welcome new families to our school. We hope to see you there!

Grades 1 - 8 :

Classes will resume with a full day for all students in Grades 1-8 on Monday, August 31st.

There will be no school on Friday, September 4th or Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day Holiday.

Kindergarten:

Students and parents in Kindergarten are welcome to attend an Open House on Tuesday, September 1st from 9:30 to 11am.  Please note that this is not a drop off event, parents should plan to stay with their child during the duration of their visit.

Kindergarten students will attend class on Wednesday, September 2nd and Thursday September 3rd from 9 to noon. On these early dismissal days, there will be no noontime bus. All parents should plan to greet their students in the courtyard at noontime.

There will be no school on Friday, September 4th or Monday, September 7th for the Labor Day Holiday.

Boo-Hoo Breakfast:

Kindergarten parents are invited to join the PCO on Tuesday September 2nd on the Town Common beginning at 9 am for coffee and a light breakfast. This is a great opportunity to meet other Kindergarten families.  Whether this is a "boo-hoo" or a "hoo-ray" we hope you will join us.
