January News & Updates
The cold winter months are busy for Walworth County's only 24/7 homeless shelter.
Working to improve their circumstances.

A family recently stayed at Twin Oaks with their two young children. The mom worked cleaning houses and the dad was a farm worker making less than minimum wage. Even though they both had jobs, they couldn't make their rent payments and turned to us for help.

The Twin Oaks case manager encouraged them to enroll their children in Head Start while the family looked for a new apartment. Their search was productive and they were able to leave Twin Oaks a month ahead of schedule. They then reached out to another family who needed assistance as a way of giving back.
