Join us at service this Friday  evening when we celebrate Shabbat Shirah, the Sabbath of Song, where we read the Song at the Sea in which Moses and the Israelites sang of their miraculous deliverance from Pharaoh.  In our service for this evening the Cantor will chant an excerpt from the Torah reading and a trio of singers from our congregation joining the Cantor in offering several special liturgical songs for this occasion!
Rabbi Bearman in the News!

Refugee Resettlement - Be Part of the Solution!

TBC participates as a member of WI-ACT, Wilton Interfaith Action Committee, including projects such as the Stop Hunger Now meal packaging event. About six years ago, WI-ACT resettled a refugee Iraqi family that is doing well and living in Stamford.

In response to the increased need, the WI-ACT Steering Committee has decided to resettle another refugee family through the nonprofit Integrated Refugee & Immigration Services (IRIS) headquartered in New Haven. Read more and get involved!

Update on Stop Hunger Now: 135,000 Meals Shipped to Haiti!

135,000 of the meals that we and others packaged as part of the Stop Hunger Now event on October 24 have now been shipped to Haiti.  They will be distributed  through Convoy of Hope, an organization that has served more than 55 million people throughout the world through international children feeding initiatives, community outreach, disaster response and partner resourcing. The programs being implemented in Haiti are aimed not just at survival, but also at long-term sustainability with such things as the development of tilapia farms and the implementation of other skills-training programs.

Buy Grocery Cards - Help Support TBC!

Stop & Shop, Caraluzzi's, and Stew Leonard's have agreed to sell the Temple gift cards at a discount of 5-10%. Our congregants purchase the gift cards (they look just like credit cards) from the Temple at face value and use them as cash when shopping at the participating supermarkets. They may be purchased in increments of $100. Please email [email protected] if you have any questions and to purchase the cards.
