BBQ and Best Burger Contest

June 19, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. 

BBQ Bob will be on the deck to host a cook off. Basic ingredients will be supplied for you to put together the best burger on the grill. You can bring your own secret sauce or ingredients to win the crowd over. Winners will leave with bragging rights. The afternoon will wrap up with a (root) beer and a barbecue to toast the summer season. $9. Call 780-483-1209 for information.

SENIORS BENEFITS INFORMATION SESSIONS

Provincial Benefits: June 23 at 1 p.m. Topics will include Alberta Seniors Benefit, Dental and Optical Assistance for Seniors, Special Needs Assistance and Property Tax Deferral Program. 

Federal Benefits: June 23 at 2 p.m. Presentation by Service Canada on the federal benefits such as CPP, OAS and GIS as well as information on the application process. 

Both sessions are free, but you must pre-register by calling 780-423-5510 ext. 301.
