Message from the CHIA President
Message from the CHIA President Deborah Collier, RHIA

The CHIA Board of Directors value your input. The Component Local Association (CLA) Leadership Forum is scheduled for January 28, 2016. During this forum, CLA leaders participate in exchanging ideas among one another, collaborate with representatives of the CHIA Board of Directors (BOD) and receive information to communicate to members within their various local associations across the state. Additionally the CHIA BOD will hold its first meeting of 2016 on Saturday, January 30, in Long Beach. Both meetings provide an opportunity to share ideas or questions received from the membership.

Results from the membership survey, describing membership views regarding trends, opportunities and challenges impacting the future of Health Information Professionals, will be communicated to all members within the next several weeks. The CHIA Board will evaluate the results and incorporate member feedback into the strategic plan for 2017-2019. The strategic goals for 2015-2016 continue to be implemented, and the current CHIA strategic plan is available online.
