Developing and managing the future of apartment living
February 2015
Dear FJG Family,
Mother Nature does not always work in our favor. Her demands can be disastrous, and in turn delay and impede our ability to function as one normally should, especially in the work field. English poet, Anne Bradstreet, illustrates the current challenges we have faced with the harsh winter season in this quote: "If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." Her words embody how we, as a company, are so fortunate to have a committed staff throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. There are numerous associates that have gone above and beyond the normal call of duty during the treacherous snow storms. Though many of you have faced obstacles with the inclement weather, your dedication to our company will continue to produce results and customer satisfaction. Thank you to each and every one of you who has worked late, spent the night on properties, and simply lived our core value of character. Your hard work does not go unnoticed as you will soon be rewarded with the warmth of spring!

Sincerely,

Taylor Franklin

Courtney Lynch, Found of Lead Star
Courtney Lynch is the Founder of Lead Star, a company dedicated to providing leadership development opportunities to those in leading  corporations, nonprofits, and colleges and universities. Our team members joined Courtney, as she discussed the often counterintuitive factors that lead to success. Her dynamic presentation style made our team members feel connected to her and her personal experiences:

"As a leader you have to take responsibility for your words and actions even in times of trouble. Your team will still rely on you if you can overcome those challenges and learn from your mistakes." - Regina Boyd, Development Analyst

"Thoroughly enjoyed Courtney Lynch. Enjoyed hearing about her humble beginnings and how she had to overcome many obstacles/failures to become successful. Nice to hear her say that leaders come from every level of a company. And her best decisions she made were the ones that came from her heart." - Karen Colna, Accountant

Every once in a while, there's an apartment community that impresses even the most discerning of tastes. Meridian Parkside is one such community. These tremendous luxury apartments in Newport News, VA offer a sophisticated living experience you will love.

Caught In The Act!

Our very own, Dan Thomas, service coordinator of all TFJG managed communities, lives each one of the six core values. Before the snow hits the ground, Dan and his team already have a concrete plan to take action to make sure the residents and TFJG team members are safe and comfortable.

Women Awareness Day
The team at Spring Water celebrated Women Awareness Day by wearing red on the first Friday of February. On this day, men and women are encouraged to wear red as a symbol of their support of women's heart health.
Our FISH! Philosophy
The philosophy of FISH! reminded Matt Gilbert of a book he has read from the past. "If you are devoted to your staff and you can promise them much more than a paycheck, something to believe in," he says, "you will then get the best service for customers, which will in the long run provide the best return to your investors" - Matt Gilbert, Corporate.

We encourage you to submit your FISH! feedback.
