ADMISSIONS
Lancer Ambassadors | Applications due September 15
The admissions office is now accepting
applications from
applicants for both
freshman and sophomore students
who are interested in serving
as Lancer Visit Day guides. Student ambassadors represent our school in leadership, faith, academics and co-curricular activities. Ambassadors should be good role models, friendly, outgoing and have a visible passion for Kennedy Catholic. Student ambassadors have the
opportunity
to develop a wide range of skills in the areas of leadership and communication.
Applications are online
, in the ASB Office, or the Admissions Office (C177). Completed applications are
due September 15
to Mrs. Ginther (C179) or Mrs. Baxter (C177). First time ambassadors will need to complete one of the two ambassador training sessions that are offered in the Dillman Center on Thursday, September 17 from 2:45 - 3:15pm or Friday, September 18 during both lunches (A & B). ACADEMICS
Curriculum Night | September 16, 6-9pm
Save the Date! Doors open at 6pm, program begins at 6:30pm in the Gymnasium. This is a very important evening to visit classrooms, meet teachers, and administrators. It is a great opportunity to have your important questions answered.
Social Studies and ISLE |
Ireland 2016
Ireland is rich in music, art, history, culture, language, sports, and service. Consider joining Mrs. Parker-Haas, Mrs. Griffith and Mr. Kyler for the
2016 Ireland in Context class and trip. There are still 4 spots available. This is a great opportunity to earn the required ISLE service hours, learn about the history, literature, culture, and language of Ireland while earning a senior Social Studies semester credit. ADVANCEMENT
Scholarship Opportunity | Application Due September 18
The Meagan E. Smith Memorial Scholarship was established in loving memory of Meagan Elizabeth Smith, 2012 Kennedy Catholic alumnae. Funds for this scholarship are made possible through the generosity of the Smith family and friends. One Kennedy Catholic young man and one Kennedy Catholic young woman will be awarded $1000 to be applied to his and her tuition for the 2015-16 school year. Applications should be turned into the Advancement Office no later than September 18, 2015. The forms are available in the Main Office and in the Development Office or you may
download the application. All qualified students are encouraged to apply!

All students and faculty are invited to pray the Rosary Tuesdays after school in the chapel.

New Orleans Spring Break Service Project & Global Visionaries Guatamala Service Immersion Trip Parent Meeting
| September 10
A Parent/Student meeting for the New Orleans and Guatemala service immersion trips will be held on September 10 from 6-7pm in B166. The Habitat for Humanity service immersion opportunity is the New Orleans Spring Break Trip, March 27-April 2 (students must be 16 by March 20, 2016). New Orleans Trip
applications are available online and in the Campus Ministry Office.
The Global Visionaries Guatamala Service Immersion Trip provides a unique opportunity to earn 13 college credits in Cultural Spanish and Leadership. Kennedy Catholic will be taking seven students at the end of June (dates TBD). The Global Visionaries applications will be available online by September 10, but more information can be found at the
Global Visionaries website. Applications for both trips are due Friday, September 25. Please contact
