How much does God love us? What is the measure of God's care and compassion for us? These are the questions that Jesus answered on the cross. God loves us enough to sacrifice everything for us. God loves us enough to pay the price for our sins and our shortcomings. God loves us enough to extend to us unlimited grace and mercy. Knowing this, we must ask ourselves the question...how deep is our love for God? Our love for God is a response to God's unfathomable love for us. So how do we show our love for God? Our love for God is manifested in our obedience to God's word. As we strive to be faithful to God's call upon our lives and the leading and guiding of God's Spirit, we show our love for God.

God's word is clear that we cannot say that we love God and hate our neighbor. Who is our neighbor? The stranger...the homeless...the oppressed...the little ones...the ones who Jesus spent most of His time with and was so compassionately concerned about. Our love for God is manifested in how we live and how we give... how we care and how we serve. Our love for God is so much more than just a profession from the lips of our mouths. It is in fact our actions that show how much we love God.

God's love for us is boundless and like God's mercies, it is new every morning. Let us work daily to show God how much we truly love God. By doing this, the body of Christ will surely be blessed and God will get the glory.
