Part Time Work: Convocation Flowers

  

Convocation Flowers is looking to hire staff from the Vancouver area for the Spring season in May and June. This opportunity is exclusive to BC Hillel students, residing in the Vancouver area. Convocation Flowers provides floral services at graduation/convocation ceremonies. They set up booths and sell bouquets of flowers to guests attending the ceremony. Job responsibilities include: Driving to university and college campuses all over British Columbia, preparing product prior to departure, and assisting in setup and sales of flowers at graduation ceremonies.

Lifeguard at Camp Miriam

 

Camp Miriam is a Jewish, youth-led, sleep away summer camp on Gabriola Island. There are 120-160 campers between the ages of 7 and 15. We are looking for an NLS certified lifeguard with previous life guarding experience. Water Front Certification is an asset. Responsibilities include guarding and cleaning the pool, as well as planning and participating in other camp activities. 

Employment begins June 14th and ends August 20th. Salary is $2500.

 The Wallenberg Sugihara Civil Courage Society is passionate about wanting to leave a legacy encouraging others to engage in behaviours inspired by Wallenberg and Sugihara.  We are seeking to identify people who, at significant personal risk, have helped to improve or save the lives of others by going against unjust laws, norms or conventions of the time and place. The job position would require you to expand reach of the Society through social media and website and engage the younger generation, research candidates for the Wallenberg-Sugihara Civil Courage Award as per the Society mission, help coordinate the Raoul Wallenberg Day Event in Vancouver as per the Society mission, and help the Society obtain funding to develop a paid coordinator position.
