Researchers at Athabasca University want to learn about the health outcomes associated with walking behaviour in adult kidney transplant recipients. Participants will be asked to wear a pedometer for three days and record their number of steps, then complete and return a survey (postage paid).

For more information on these clinical trials, visit www.kidney.ca/surveys.

The Kidney Foundation of Canada relies on the generosity of many donors and sponsors through the year to help reach our fundraising goals. Beyond the scope of those who attend or sponsor our Kidney Foundation organized events, there is a whole crew of dedicated event organizers we affectionately like to call "Blue Builders." It is through their support that we are building a stronger Kidney Foundation. Throughout Ontario, dozens of events are organized by teams of volunteers and they benefit The Kidney Foundation. They can range from ball hockey tournaments to golf tournaments, races, festivals and more! Click here for highlights and photos.

Starting this month, the Canada Revenue Agency will begin in-person and online consultations seeking the views of Canadians with disabilities and their supporting persons, promoters, tax professionals, qualified practitioners and members from the general public. Your participation and feedback will help protect people with disabilities from paying excessive fees for assistance with a DTC request as well as improve the DTC process.

Starting out on a renal diet is a challenge. There's a lot to learn, hidden ingredients to look out for and, often, a pretty big lifestyle change. If money has become tight, you may be considering going to a food bank for assistance. But will donated food fit into the renal diet?
