2015 - WNCoC Annual Golf Tournament - Tournoi de Golf Annuel fun for everyone!

The annual Golf Tournament was a successful event for the Chamber Friday, August 21st, with Patrick Keough spearheading the role of Committee Chair. "A big thank you to our Platinum Sponsor Eastlink and also, thanks to our gold and silver sponsors, Canadian Tire, Collins Barrow, North Bay Nipissing News ,Thistle Marketing, Alouette Bus Lines, The Tribune, and Caisse Populaire Sturgeon Falls & Verner for your ongoing contributions" said Keough. 

Hole-Sponsors included, Stereo Plus, Don's Butcher Shop, Pharmacie Aubin Pharmacy, La Vie en Couleur, Nipissing First Nation, Foodland, David Stewart Professional Corp., Canada Brokerlink, Blue Sky Insurance Brokers and the National Bank - Banque Nationale. "Thank you to all, the Golf Tournament was a great networking and team building opportunity for participants," added Keough.

This year, the Chamber saw 64 players enjoying the 18 holes of Four Man Scramble. Registered teams included participants from, Eastlink, Canadian Tire, Collins Barrow, North Bay Nipissing News, Leisure Farms, Cold Springs Camp, the Sturgeon Falls Curling Club, Discount Hand Car-Wash, Quality Contracting, Economic Partners, Caisse Populaire Sturgeon Falls & Verner, Daniel Piquette CGA and more. Prizes were also donated by local businesses and were awarded to each golfer.

The winning team of the tournament was Cold Springs Camp. Their team included Jamie Restoule, Rolly Restoule, Melvin McLeod and Bobby Guenette. The participants and team name have been etched on the West Nipissing Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament Trophy. Cold Springs Camp will keep the trophy for one year, until the 2016 Annual Golf Tournament. Furthermore, contest winners included Shawn Lavigne for Men's Longest Drive, Kathleen Thorne-Rochon for Women's Longest Drive, and Mathieu Piquette for Men's Closest to the Pin. 

Keough explained "A successful event cannot happen without the collaboration of many people, with that said, thank you to the Mantha family and Laurentide Golf Club staff for hosting our event. They always put together a fun tournament, and we all enjoyed ourselves!"
