Why companies are moving to Reno-Sparks

If you're not yet excited about Reno's future, watch the recently released video above called " The New Nevada".
Top people from cutting edge tech companies tell why Northern Nevada is the place to do business. Sprinkled against their words are richly colorful time-lapse footage of the Truckee Meadows, balloon races, Tahoe night sky and the Reno arch - plus glimpses of The Hub, the Reno Aces and the Nevada Museum of Art.

Kevin Marshall - president of Clear Capital, a real estate analytics and valuations provider - says, "Reno just made sense on every level. We had a town that wanted us here. We had a state that was very eager to accommodate businesses and help us grow and provide more jobs. As we go through these periods of growth, there's a great recruiting pool in the Reno area."

Matthew Sweeny - CEO of Flirtey, a pioneering drone delivery startup - says, "Reno is a little city with a big attitude. It's got an ambition to be a vibrant hub for growth and entrepreneurship in the next few years."

And Adam Kramer from the internet connectivity powerhouse Switch talks about the importance of being near the University of Nevada, Reno: "We were able to create the curriculum that we need for our workforce, put it in place in under 12 months, and have students be workforce ready when we open on Day One."

A roll call of leading companies located here ends the video: Tesla, Switch, Microsoft, Intuit, Aerion, Koch, Apple, Zulilly, Sierra Nevada Corp., Clear Capital, Flirtey, ebay.
