It's been a busy few months here at Animal Lifeline, and we're
eager to share our exciting news!

Adoption Center:

We are very fortunate to have so much community support of our cat rescue. So far this year, 38 cats have found their new forever homes! This left us with the space to save more lives. In late March, we visited a home in Philly, severely in need of assistance. What we found when we entered was a disabled owner in over her head with 19 cats. The owner of the home couldn't bear allowing more than five to go at once but was grateful for our help and was able improve the care of her remaining cats with the weight of 5 off of her shoulders.  Since then, three of those five have been taken into loving homes, leaving only two of the group still waiting. Come visit our adoption center to meet these cuties and our other adoptable cats waiting for forever homes.

Rescue Rebuild

It's time for another Rescue Rebuild! We are excited to be traveling down to Kiln, Mississippi this month with Greater Good to visit a shelter we have been close with over the years. The Hancock County Animal Shelter took a major hit in Hurricane Katrina and 2015 marks the 10th anniversary. The shelter is in major need of kennels to house the many dogs that they intake yearly, so one of our staff members is heading down to assist in welding the 64 dog kennels that are being created. It will be a long 3 weeks of welding kennels and putting up chain link fencing for outdoor runs. The benefits of this work will be immensely helpful in keeping the shelter dogs safe and happy. We couldn't be more pleased to get the chance to help this wonderful organization again. Pictures to come!

Thrift Store

We are sad to say goodbye to Linda, our store manager. As some of you may have heard, Linda made the difficult decision to return to her previous employer, who had been begging for her to return. We wish her the best in her endeavors and hope that we still see her often. This means many changes are coming to the store. We are in need of motivated volunteers willing to help us keep it running. Do you have an interest in helping animals but prefer working with people? This is the place for you! Please visit our office, or email our Volunteer Director at [email protected]. Thank you!

Happy Trails For Wagging Tails

You may have heard that we have partnered up with Greater Good to help pets in high volume shelters get transferred to low volume areas safely. To make this happen, Animal Lifeline has started raising funds to purchase a truck and temperature controlled trailer. We are getting closer and closer to reaching our goal, but could still use some help.  Please visit The Animal Rescue Site if you are able to help us make this happen.

Don't Just Take Your Dog For A Walk... Take Your Walk For A Dog!
