Dear Moms and Dads,
It is hard to believe that the academic year 2014-2015 has come to a close. This is the time to celebrate the accomplishments of our students and acknowledge our outstanding and dedicated faculty. The students have had a remarkable year. This would not have been possible without our committed and enthusiastic faculty who work tirelessly to provide a quality, faith based education for our students. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all of our families and volunteers for their support and generosity throughout the year. We could not have done it without you. Enjoy your summer vacation and we look forward to seeing you in August. God Bless You! Bardhyl Gjoka Principal

I thank Mrs. Krista Lilly for her important role in leading the new family mentoring program, an essential part of welcoming new families to St. A. Please share this date with your friends and families. Prospective new families are welcome to visit the school for a tour prior to the Open House and anytime, thereafter. New and Newsworthy:
- We have shared with School Advisory Board and parents at our HSA meeting on May 27th that we will release our new website over the summer. The new domain is sasnewcanaan.org(SaintAloysiusSchoolNewCanaan) We thank Mr. McGinness and Mr. Tully for their help.
- Parents will receive the school newsletter in this format using constant contact weekly beginning the first full week of school in September.
- New textbook series are being introduced for math (grades k-8), science (grades k-8), Spanish (grades 3-8) and language arts (grades 6 and 7). The programs closely parallel the current curriculum with added enhancements such as interactive online lessons. The new textbooks and programs feature problem-based learning and differentiation that may be assigned online for extra practice, support, or challenge at home. They will provide interactive learning aids and video tutorials with personalized practice for today's technology-oriented student. The series are in html format which is friendly with all devices. To support the lessons, grades 5-8 will have chromebooks available to each student. The newest MacBook laptops will be used exclusively for grades K-4.
