OUR CONTRIBUTIONS AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Associate Professor Lee Skabelund has published a chapter, Monitoring Abiotic Inputs and Outputs, in the recently released Springer International Publishing book Green Roof Ecosystems. Lee's co-authors are Kimberly DiGiovanni and Olyssa Starry and the book's editor is Richard Sutton. The book is available here and will be released in hardcopy next month.


Associate Professor Katie Kingery-Page presented "Landscapes for Art: Why we need the landscape idea" at the Wichita Art Museum on June 3. She was invited to make the presentation as WAM prepares to open a new, nine-acre Art Garden designed by Confluence, Vicki Skuri and Derek Porter.

ULI - the Urban Land Institute

is an independent global nonprofit representing the entire spectrum of real estate development and land use disciplines. 

The ULI Fall Meeting is the only event that brings together leaders from every sector of the real estate industry. Wells Fargo is sponsoring scholarships for undergraduate students to attend the Fall Meeting. This scholarship provides undergraduate students the opportunity to attend the Fall Meeting and will include up to $600 in travel expenses. All information can be found

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student with interest in green building practices.
  • Student must complete the application and email their cover letter detailing why they feel most deserving of this scholarship along with their resume to Emeri Lewkowicz at emeri.lewkowicz@uli.org
