OF INTEREST

The Kansas Chapter of APA is looking for students to report about the APA conference. They have 10 slots for student reporters. Write a 250 word story about the conference that can appear in the Chapter newsletter.  If you turn in a story, you will receive $100. If the story is good enough to appear in the chapter newsletter AND comes with a photo, you will receive $150. The story must report on the conference providing information for our members who were not able to attend or not able to attend every session or activity. Here are some suggestions: interview a planner from another part of the country, provide helpful hints for practitioners from an interesting session, what you learned about planning from Seattle's host sessions, and/or cover a keynote speaker and why they were inspiring.  Be the chapter's "eyes and ears" at the conference. The submittal must be about the conference, need next to no copy editing, and be of interest to our members.

To sign up for a slot, contact Prof. Johnson (KS APA Chapter Professional Development Officer) by April 16th - bojojohn@ku.edu . The first 10 will be accepted.

"Developers, Planners, and the City" a joint summer school between ERSA (European Regional Science Association) and ERES (European Real Estate Society) will be held July 5-14, 2015 in Vienna, Austria. The program will consist of a combination of lectures by international scholars, site visits to significant real estate development projects, and student presentations.
