HORNER AND KIM TO LEAD HART BOARD

The HART Board of Directors has a new leadership team in place.

Board members yesterday unanimously elected Don Horner chairman of the Board and Damien Kim as vice chairman.

Horner and Kim have served on the Board since its inception in 2011.

Horner succeeds Ivan Lui-Kwan, who served two years as board chairman.

Kim replaces Horner in the vice chairman post.

Also at yesterday's Board meeting, newly appointed members Colleen Hanabusa and Terrence Lee were sworn into office and participated in their first Board meeting.

HART RECEIVES $52 MILLION IN GET FUNDING

HART received $52.3 million in General Excise and Use Tax (GET) surcharge revenue this month for construction of the Honolulu rail project.

GET surcharge revenue for the months of April, May and June was about $8 million dollars less than was forecasted for the quarter based on the project's current financial plan.

For the previous quarter covering January, February and March, HART received $65 million in surcharge revenue, which was $9 million above projections for that quarter.

HART has now collected $1.52 billion in surcharge revenue funding for rail since the half-percent GET surcharge dedicated to the rail project was first levied in 2007.

 MONTHLY PROGRESS REPORT AVAILABLE

HART's Monthly Progress Report for June is now available on the rail project website.

The report was presented yesterday to the HART Board of Directors at its regularly
scheduled meeting.

The monthly report contains a lot of information, and is a great tool for tracking the rail
project's progress and finances.

You can view the June report here.
