Memorial Day is a United States Federal Holiday that is observed on the last Monday in May,

May 25, 2015.

It is a day of remembering the men and women who died while serving in the United States Armed Forces.

The day was first enacted as "Decoration Day" to honor Union and Confederate soldiers following the American Civil War in 1868.

It was extended after World War I to honor Americans who have died in all wars.

Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City has a 1pm ceremony in the chapel on Memorial Day each year.

**Flags Unlimited Repairs Flags**

For larger commercial flags, we offer a flag repair service. Call us to help determine if your flag can be repaired and for pricing.
Repairing a torn fly-end right away extends the life of your flag.
To fly a US flag everyday, the best practice is to have three flags, one to fly, one being repaired, and a "Holiday" flag to be flown on special days.
