Breathing Technique - Sitali Pranayama
During these intensely hot mid-summer days, its important to regulate the emotional body. Try this breathing technique to EVEN out any ANGER and to BALANCE the THYROID.
Before your Bikram practice sit quietly in a comfortable seated position. Place hands on knees, palms upward to receive. Curl the tongue, if not able, place tongue behind front teeth. SIP in Prana, as if sipping lemonade from a straw! INHALE for 8 seconds HOLD for 2 EXHALE through NOSE. REPEAT until your teacher asks you to stand!! Namaste!!
