Quick Guide to Business Resources in Hamilton
Workforce Planning Hamilton in partnership with Global Hamilton and the Hamilton Immigration Partnership Council has released a guide for immigrants and others in the community who are thinking of starting a business.
Top 5 tips when thinking of starting a business:
Don't be in a hurry
Learn about the local business community
Upgrade your language skills and take training if needed
Visit workplaces that interest you
Create a business plan, but know that it is likely to change over time

Trade Show for the 9th Annual OW/ODSP Town Hall, June 18th
The Ontario Works and Ontario Disability Support Program Operational Advisory Committee will be hosting the 9th Annual Town Hall meeting for participants and service providers. The theme is:
Building Bridges: Connect, Collaborate and Celebrate
Service providers can set up a booth to share the services they provide with OW and ODSP recipients, low income residents and fellow service providers. It's a great opportunity for you to advertise your agency and answer attendees' questions. And, best of all, there is no cost to you!
Where: Hamilton Convention Centre, 1 Summers Lane, Hamilton, ON in Wentworth Room C.
When: Thursday June 18th 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
