Secret Pals
Sign-ups have begun and will continue through next Sunday.
Gift exchanging begins on January 24. Pals revealed on February 14.
Secret Pals is a 4-week event matching one adult with one RE child. It is most fun when you pair with a child that you don't know well.
The adults know who they are paired with, but the children don't.
Each week for four Sundays, the two partners exchange smal gifts (drawings, poems, stickers, a flower, Valentines, small toy, etc.) There will be a mailbox (envelope) on a clothesline in the front patio, one for each child.
The adult may give hints in the small gifts, messages or even snail mail, so that when you meet for lunch on February 14th, the child may have guessed who you are!
Join the fun and get to know members of the congregation, both children and adults. Please let Sylvia Forsyth know if you would like to participate.

Book Club
Tuesday Jan. 19th 7:00PM - Bryans Room
There has been a
change for January's book:
When the Killing's Done by T.C. Boyle.
This is a novel set in the past decade on the California Channel Islands, where a rather testy turf war was fought between animal rights activists and the biologists of the National Park Service and the Nature Conservancy over the elimination of non-native species of plants and animals. This provided the inspiration for the book.
It should be a good read for those of us with a interest in preserving our environment. All welcome at the book discussion. For questions
, call Linda at 724-4089
