SHANA TOVA!
from Rav Tomer Ronen
A few days ago, we began our school year with great excitement. As with any new beginning, all of us, both teachers and students, arrived filled with expectations, plans, and ambitions.  One of the issues we often face as parents and educators is the need for change and the understanding of how to implement it. Sometimes we avoid change just so that we don't fail in the goals we set for ourselves.....

Welcome Kitah Aleph!

BPY first graders and their parents came together for a special welcome to kitah aleph on their first day of school. After receiving their official "I'm a first grader!" stickers and a brand new rainbow pencil, Rav Ronen warmly welcomed the children to BPY elementary school and shared his excitement for the year ahead. Parents, teachers, and the administration joined together to bless the children as they sat under a tallit and then accompanied them to their new classrooms where they did a project together. What a beautiful way to start first grade!

BPY Observes September 11
Today is our National Day of Service and Remembrance in commemoration of the events of September 11, 2001. At BPY, students in second grade and above marked the day with age appropriate classroom discussions about the importance of service and remembrance. Junior high school students started the school day with a memorial ceremony immediately following tefillah.

Introducing...the Achdut Annual Campaign!

BPY's   Annu al Camp aign
has been renamed the
ACHDUT ANNUAL CAMPAIGN!

The Hebrew word, " achdut" (unity) was chosen to highlight BPY's core value of community and convey the essential role each one of us plays in coming together to ensure that BPY has the financial resources it needs to continue to flourish.

The campaign's logo takes as its inspiration the peaks of Har Sinai, where the Jewish people gathered in perfect unity awaiting Matan Torah, the giving of the Torah. Rashi explains that they stood there " ke-ish echad be'lev echad," כאיש אחד בלב אחד, as one people with one heart.

Please join together with the BPY community of parents, grandparents, staff, and community members to strengthen our school community and enrich the lives of our children - spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually - in their home away from home.
