I can't  Explain It, It Just Happens

Two thoughts this month, and they kind of go together. The first comes from my friend Ray Millington who told me about his experiences at Motorola where Marketing was often in conflict with Engineering. Marketing says "Do it now", Engineering says "Do it right". The lesson for life is that you can do both. Simply "Do It Right, Now".

The second might sound weird, but they do go together. Think about the last time you did something just because your gut told you it was the right thing to do. You made a call, you answered a call, you stopped to help someone you didn't know, things like that. Was it worth the risk? I'm sure you would agree it was. It might not have paid off in dollars, but the personal satisfaction was "priceless". Right?

I'm not going to try to explain how it happens, I have no idea. What I do know for sure is that it does - if you are open to the possibility. When it happens you will have an instantaneous choice: to be open to the possibilities - no matter where it takes you - or ignore it.

Choose the safe response and life goes on as planned. Take the risk and 90 percent of the time it will be a special experience. It can't be measured in monetary terms, but it will align with the person you are at your core. If you aren't fortunate enough to have had that experience, don't despair. It comes to those who are ready - and that means both of you. Think of the phrase: "When the student is ready, the teacher will appear." You'll recognize it when it happens - as long as you, whether teacher or student, are ready. Seize the opportunity, you won't be disappointed.

Trying to do it Right, Now,

This Month's Insurance Tip:

I talk to people all the time who bought insurance online. They didn't realize they could get the services of an experienced agent at no additional cost. We, as agents, can't sell insurance, we're not insurance companies, we can only help people find the right coverage and then apply. When a customer gets a policy, the insurance company will pay the agent a commission. It's in our best interest to help our customers find the right coverage to fit their needs and budget.

So, use your insurance agents, it doesn't cost any more. If you know someone who needs expert help understanding their options, have them call me at 847-502-2663. There's no cost or obligation. They can also visit my website.
