The full moon that appears in August is called the Sturgeon Moon. North American fishing tribes called August's full moon the sturgeon moon since the species is abundant during this month. It has also been known as the Green Corn Moon and the Grain Moon. This moon phase is about abundance (like in harvest or fertility), and about storing for the winter. Think about the ants and squirrels working hard to store up their winter food, and let's take a page from their book.

What a ride we are on in this adventure called life.
I'm pretty sure that we are here solely to experience and evolve; the fun is in the details. Every day here at the store we see the collective consciousness rising to new heights...expansion abounding...it seems more and more people are exploring and finding the expression of their unlimited potential. The lesson for July seemed to be (once again) "non-resistance". It seemed that everywhere we turned last month, we heard or saw in print, reports of the doom and gloom of our time and of our town. It was a great exercise in non-resistance. Of course the first instinct was to inform the reporters of their lack of information, incorrect data, and negative attitudes. It's amazing, however how 2 to 3 weeks of vigilant focus in just allowing others to see things the way they see them showed once again, that resistance creates pain and drama and nonresistance, while focusing on holding our own alignment with spirit, is more powerful than one can even begin to imagine. Most of the reporters we noticed, soon tired of complaining and beating a dead horse and turned to new topics.
So relax and go easy. Remind yourself that all is well and this is a friendly universe, unless of course, we say otherwise. May we all focus on the expansive energy of possibility and make this a remarkable August of 2015!
