Two YKnotFish.com Pro-staff Captains
Celebrated Mother's Day
" Captain's Style"

"quit wishing and come fishing!"
White Roses Cast in Mama D's Favorite Redfish hole.

We as Captains are often honored by being asked to participate in casting ashes of loved ones that are passed.  Most times it is a sacred and dignified service.  It can be a very somber event.  Many folks want their remains to be cast in a place they love, such as the Gulf.

Yesterday, in honor of their Mothers that have passed, two Captains on our Pro-staff decided to honor their mothers by casting roses on a favorite location.

It is a tradition of some to wear a rose honoring Mothers on Mother's day.
It is a southern tradition to wear a red rose for a Mother that is living, and a white rose to honor a Mother who has passed.

Two white roses were cast yesterday.  One for "Mama D" and one for "Mama Katherine."   Mama D ended her journey with us just a few days ago.  Captain Elaine wanted to honor Mama D and share this moment with us in celebration of Mama D's life.

Both mothers were very instrumental in developing a love for the outdoors and a love for fishing in Captain Elaine and Captain Jim that has lasted to this day.

Captain E decided to take it one step futher yesterday, and fish with Mama D's personal rod and reel.  I think you will agree that the rod did very well, hauling in several nice fish in a short time, to include one 25" GATOR TROUT!

We try our very best to make everyday
a Mother's day when we have Moms on our boats. Days like
yesterday remind us just how fleeting our time with loved ones truly is.  We work hard to allow you to make memories with loved ones.

Scallop season is JUST AROUND THE CORNER.
That special time of year when we are blessed with the opportunity to jump out of the boat and collect those delectable crustaceans is about to be upon us.

If you have never done it, it is an absolute blast.  We swim the clear waters in the grass flats of the Gulf of Mexico.  Some equate it to an "adult Easter Egg hunt."

Most who try it are hooked, and come back again and again.  Many go every weekend!
A nice box of FRESH SCALLOPS!
The captains here at YKnotFish make it EASY!

Bring you own mask fins and snorkel.  We supply the bags and buckets, coolers, ice and water. We take you to the best Scallop grounds we know.

Simply bring your swimming equipment (which can be purchased at several locations locally), what you want to eat and drink.  What could be easier?!?!?

Come by yourself, or bring a few friends and family.  We can handle groups large and small.
