Summer Fitness
Open Now through August 21
Grades 8 and up
Wayland High School

The Wayland High School Fitness Center is open now through August 21 to students entering Grade 8 and up as well as alumni and members of the general public.

Sam Breslin, an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach and Wayland alumni, will staff the center from 8 am to 9:30 am and 2:30 ? 5:30 pm Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; Wednesdays from 3 ? 4:30 pm, and Fridays from 3:30 ? 5 pm. The fee is $75 for Students/Alumni and $100 for Wayland residents. Professional fitness programs and instruction will be available to interested Wayland students and athletes.

Make checks payable to WSCP (Wayland School Community Programs) and note ?Fitness Center? in the memo section. Registration forms are available at the link included here and also in the Center. The form and payment should be given to Breslin at the Fitness Center, which is located in the building housing the Commons and theatre.

Math Power for All
August 17-21
GRADES 2 - 8
Wayland High School

Math Power for All returns to Wayland this summer after a successful debut in 2014. The one-week program is scheduled for August 17-21 at Wayland High School. Developed and led by Dr. Christine Moynihan, the five-day offering features two sessions. Grades 2 ? 5 attend from 9 am ? 12 noon and Grades 4 ? 8 participate from 1 pm ? 4 pm. Families with questions about which level an entering 4th or 5th grade student should take may contact Dr. Moynihan at: [email protected]. Each section will enroll a minimum of 10 students and a maximum of 20.

Dr. Moynihan is a math consultant and author. Her most recent position was as principal of the Williams Elementary School in Newton and prior to that she was the Math & Science Specialist for the Wayland Public Schools.  She describes the goal of Math Power as being to ?refine, extend, and sharpen math skills prior to returning to the classroom in the fall.? The program is offered through WSCP.

Wayland/Weston Assemblies
September 23 thru December 9

Dance & Social Etiquette
Held at 320 Boston Post Road, Weston  

For over 50 years, the Weston/Wayland Assemblies have been providing fifth grade students instruction in the elements of social dance and etiquette. This nine week program features instruction in a lively mix of traditional dances, such as fox trot, waltz and swing as well as some fun line dances. We all know the value of good manners and civility is an investment that will last a lifetime. This year registration will be conducted online. BASE Option for Half Day Kindergarten
2015-2016 School Year

Through the WSCP Before-After School Extension (BASE), there is an extended day program for kindergarteners in the district's half-day program. There will be one half-day classroom in each of the three elementary schools this fall. To learn about the program, go to the link here:
