Winter 2015

Welcome
Our own personal emails are getting busier all the time, so we thank you for taking the time to read our latest newsletter.

We only plan update you with our news once or twice a year, or when something particularly noteworthy is happening within the practice.

In this issue, we will tell you about our new staff members, our expanded services and about the upcoming Dental Health Week.

Online Bookings - Now Active for all patients!

ExactBox

Our online booking facility has been recently upgraded to include the ability for both new and existing patients to book appointments online.

We know that many of our patients have enjoyed the convenience of scheduling their recall check up and clean appointments online.  Unscheduled appointments, can now be booked through the secure web page, linked from our home page.

Also, if you need further treatment, but cannot make an appointment as there are work or family commitments that you are not sure of when at the practice, we will send you a link to your email or smartphone.  You will then be able to check your roster or diary, and make your appointment at your convenience from the office or at home.

New Staff Profiles

We are very pleased to announce that Dr Amos Wong has joined our practice.  A graduate from The University of Queensland, Dr Wong originally hails from Malaysia.  He migrated to Australia together with his family in 2008.  Dr Amos particularly enjoys preventive, restorative and the surgical aspects of modern dentistry.

Also joining our practice in 2015 is Dr Clarence De Silva.  Dr De Silva owns and operates a referral only practice limited to implant treatment and oral surgery in the Hills District of Sydney.  We have been fortunate to secure his skills for the removal of wisdom teeth that are too complicated for our dentists, but not sufficiently complicated to warrant removal with an oral surgeon.  Dr De Silva is consulting with us once a month.

Our assistants have also changed since you might have been here last.  After seven years with us, Tricia has decided to pursue a new career in the education sector as a teacher aide.  It has been sad to see her leave, but I am sure that you would join with me in wishing her the best in this new venture.

Joining us is Davina, who some of our long standing patients might remember, as she returns to the practice after a number of years looking after her family.  We also welcome Milissa to the practice.  She is currently completing her Certificate III in Dental Assisting, and enjoying learning about her new career choice.

Practice Satisfaction Survey

Our annual Patient Satisfaction Survey is now open.

We have received great feedback over the years through your honest assessment of our services.

Though you can choose to remain anonymous, if you provide us with your name and contact details, you will be entered into the draw to win your next check up and clean (including bitewing radiographs if needed) on us.

Dental Health Week 2015

How healthy are your sports habits?  Are you committing the Seven Sporting Sins?  This is the theme for this year's Dental Health Week.  Are you guilty of any of these...

Sin 1 : A Lust for Taste | Are you increasing your risk of decay?

Sin 2: Fuelling the Greed | Are you being persuaded by marketing?

Sin 3: The Wrath of Trauma | Would you know how to deal with dental trauma?

Sin 4: Supplementing Vanity | What are you really taking?

Sin 5: Sports Gluttony | How many acid attacks are you having?

Sin 6: Performance Envy | Is dehydration getting the best of you?

Sin 7: Slothful avoidance | When was your last check up?

Please take the time to learn about the impact certain sports habits may have on your dental health.

All of us hope that you find this communication valuable, and as always, we appreciate your continued support of our practice.

Until we see you next time, take care.
