Mayor Adrian O. Mapp and the Mapp Administration wish all residents a festive Halloween on Oct. 30th and 31st. City residents are asked to observe a voluntary juvenile curfew of 8:30PM on both days.  To learn more click on the link below:

Auction of Foreclosed Properties

ABANDONED & FORECLOSED PROPERTIES INITIATIVE

The foreclosure crisis that struck the U.S. over the past several years has left the City of Plainfield with a number of foreclosed properties. We have identified an opportunity for the City of Plainfield to move these foreclosed and abandoned properties back onto the tax rolls and will be holding an Auction of these Foreclosed Properties.

Looking for Employment Opportunities?
Mayor Adrian O. Mapp partners with  FedEx Freight and the Plainfield Board of Education and will be hosting a Job Informational Session and Job Fair. These organizations are seeking new hires for full and part time positions.

Mayor Mapp Helps Local Plainfield Businesses

Plainfield City Hall - Friday Oct. the 24th, Mayor Adrian O. Mapp hosted a workshop in partnership with the NJ Department of Labor and Workforce Development. Local Plainfield businesses were in attendance and participated in the REC4JERSEY On-The-Job-Training Program workshop.  This program provides businesses with some great incentives to help expand their workforce.    Mayor Mapp's objective to help strengthen our local economy is a priority. The Mapp Administration will be hosting additional workshops to help local businesses in the areas of: retail marketing, business tax preparation, recruiting, business website development, etc.

Plainfield Open Space Trust Fund
In the November 2014 Election,  the residents of Plainfield will be given the opportunity to vote on a referendum to designate open space funds  to ensure that Plainfield residents have the best possible quality of life, through the improvement of our open space and recreational facilities, this will benefit all Plainfielders from  school aged children to senior citizens.

There will be three public questions on the November ballot.  Public Question #3 is about establishing a Plainfield Open Space Trust Fund. This will be critical to ensuring our ability to maintain and upgrade our public recreation spaces in our city. The MAPP ADMINISTRATION URGES  you to vote "YES"on Public Question #3 in November!
