Spring SwimmingSWIM
Learn to improve your swimming skills with instructors while working with the group to provide individualized instruction. Swimmers are further paired up with trained volunteers to offer one-on-one assistance (when possible) in addition to the instruction.
 
Spring Program
Who: Anyone of any age (Under 14-Novice), (14+-Intermediate), any ability welcome
Time:  Novice 2:00-3:00 pm
    Intermediate 3:00-4:00 pm
When: Saturdays
Where: Don Wheaton Family YMCA pool (10211 102 Ave, Edmonton)
Dates: May 2 - June 20, 2015 (excluding May 16)
Fee: $40.00 or 1 bingo

Wheelchair Floor HockeyFloorhockey
Build skills in stick handling, passing and shooting as well as game skills and strategies. Athletes who use an electric or manual wheelchair are welcome. 

Who: Adults 18+, ambulatory, powerchair and manual chair users 
Time: 6:00 - 7:00 pm
When: Mondays
Where: ACT Centre Gym (2909 113 Ave, Edmonton)
Dates: Every Monday evening until May 25, 2015 (excl. April 6 & May 18)
Fee: $25 (prorated for the rest of the year)
Teen and Adult GroupTeengp
Teen and Adult Group is a great place to meet new people, get out into the community and keep active while having fun! Activities for this year include the Corn Maze, an IMAX movie, an Edmonton Rush game, and painting ceramics! 
 
Who: Teens and young adults aged 13-29 years
Time: 7:00-9:00 pm
When: Saturdays
Where: Various locations throughout Edmonton
Dates: October 2014 - June 2015
Fee: $60 or 1 bingo (Further costs will apply depending on the event)



Dates: Wednesdays; May 6- June 24 2015

Time: 8-9 pm

Location: ACT Centre, 2909 113 Avenue


 

"Leisure / Intermediate Cycling" :

This will be a ride focused on developing cycling skills, creating a social atmosphere cycling at a leisurely pace. 

Dates: Wednesdays;

June 24, July 8, 15, 22, 29, August 5, 12, 19, 26, Sept 2, 9, 16

Time: 6:30-8 pm for July and August, 6-7:30 pm for September

Location: TBD- It will vary throughout the city.

 

"High Performance / Advanced Cycling" : 

This ride will be a high intensity ride, including hills, speed and distance. This group is for experienced riders.

Dates: Wednesdays;

June 24, July 8, 15, 22, 29, August 5, 12, 19, 26, Sept 2, 9, 16

Time: 6:30-8 pm for July and August, 6-7:30 pm for September

Location: TBD- It will vary throughout the city. 

 

" Apprentice / Beginner Cycling" : 

This ride will have a very high focus on basic cycling skills, including turning, braking, pedaling and gearing. This group is for those with no prior outdoor cycling experience or are not able to cycle independently.

Dates: Wednesdays;

June 24, July 8, 15, 22, 29, August 5, 12, 19, 26, Sept 2, 9, 16

Time: 10-11:30 am

Location: Hawrelak Park

 

Costs: $144 program fees for 12 weeks. This includes ABA insurance.*

$84 bike rental for 12 weeks.* 

Program + Rental=$228.00 or 4 bingos (or 3 evening shifts)

Program = $144.00 or 3 bingos (or 2 evening shifts)

TaekwondoTaekwondo2
Regardless of physical ability, any individual can gain something from Taekwondo. The Paralympic Sports Association in partnership with Tiger Taekwondo provides skilled instructors that use traditional training techniques, regardless of physical limitations, to help students achieve balance between body, mind, and spirit. The instructors adapt each lesson to meet the goals and abilities of each participant. You will have the opportunity to be tested and move on to the next belt level.
Junior Program
Who: Ages 5-13 years 
Time: 10:00 - 11:00 am
When: Saturdays
Where: Tiger Taekwondo (7619 - 104 St)
Dates: Goes until May 2, 2015 (excluding Spring Break Week April 4)
Fee: $240 (or 4 Bingos) PLUS 1 Mandatory Bingo
*Fees will be pro-rated from start date for new participants.

Intermediate Program
Who: Ages 14 years - Adult
Time: 7:15 - 8:15 pm
When: Wednesdays
Where: Tiger Taekwondo (7619 - 104 St)
Dates: Goes until April 22, 2015 (excluding Spring Break Week April 1)
Fee: $240 (or 4 Bingos) PLUS 1 Mandatory Bingo or add $60
*Fees will be pro-rated from start date for new participants.
Kayaking/CanoeingKayak

Dates: Mondays; July 6, 13, 20, 27, Aug 10 and 17

Location: Kirk Lake, 184 Street and 122 Avenue

Time: 6:30-8:30 pm

Who: All ages, all abilities, all experience levels

NCCP Coach will be on hand to teach skills.

Cost: $80.00 or 2 bingos

Adapted GolfGolf

Dates: May 5, 12, 19, 26, June 9, 16, July 9, 23 (Thursdays), August 6, 20 (Thursdays)

Location: Victoria Golf course, 12130 River Valley Road

Time: 6:30-8 pm

Who: All ages, all abilities, all experience levels

Cost: 100$ or 2 bingos

Mountain Adventure Trip: 

Everyone welcome (Under 18 will need parent or guardian, Everyone must have a personal care attendant).

Stay at the Athabasca Falls Wilderness Hostel, hike (trailrider available if needed), white water raft and hang out! No child supervision will be on site.

1) Power Soccer 

For anyone using a power chair; all ages and abilities welcome.

When: Tues. Set-up @ 5:30pm, practice from 6-8pm (May 5 & 19, June 2 &16, July 7 &21)

Cost: $10/session + $20 membership fee. Pre-registration mandatory for all players each session.
